I started DKcleanedit in August 2024, back in my second year of university not as a side-hustle idea I picked up because I genuinely couldn't stand seeing a good pair of sneakers go uncared for. I had one pair I loved more than any other, and when it got properly ruined, I taught myself how to bring it back to life rather than let it go. That's where this started.

Since then the team has cleaned and restored over 600 pairs across Leicester and London, and built the booking, tracking and loyalty system behind this site. This was never just about cleaning shoes, it's about taking pride in your footwear.
